What inspired me to start Fine Food Express was the influence of living and cooking in Italy. Being brought up in your typical Italian family in Milan I learnt an enormous amount from just watching, tasting and experimenting.

The revelation lay in the ingredients themselves - I learnt that if the ingredients are of a good quality then even the most basic cook can produce fantastic, impressive meals, whilst even the most talented chef will struggle with substandard produce.

I wanted to bring to the Sydney market the enormous variety of produce found in Italian shops – the local cheeses, delicate olive oils produced by local farmers and olives preserved in brine.

I want to extend the way I lived and cooked at home in Italy, by supplying produce that would create wonderful meals accessible to anyone cooking at home.

Importantly I wanted to make this as convenient as possible to the buyer by delivering direct to your door and at the best possible price.
